NEW ALBUM “ROCK N’ ROLL ROMANCE” TO BE RELEASED JUNE 28
~ First Single “Have a Nice Day” at Radio May 6 & Available For Download May 10 ~
TORONTO, Ontario (May 2, 2011) – Vancouver rock band State Of Shock have signed with Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The band will release their third album, Rock N’ Roll Romance on June 28. A collection of new songs with powerhouse rock hits including the first single, "Have A Nice Day” which is being serviced to radio May 6 and will be available for sale digitally May 10.
The Vancouver natives have had success on their previous album Life, Love & Lies which was released in June 2007. The runaway success of lead single "Money Honey" propelled the band to new heights, obtaining top 10 at three formats – Rock, CHR and Hot AC.
The band received two Canadian Radio Music Awards and was nominated for a Juno for Best New Group in 2008. "Money Honey" also received a Canadian Independent Music Award for Favourite Single in 2008.
The band has sold over 94,000 digital singles of “Money Honey” and is certified platinum in Canada; “Best I Ever Had” is a certified gold single for the band as well with over 43,000 singles sold. The album Life, Love & Lies is certified gold in Canada with over 50,000 sold to date.

Due to recording commitments, State of Shock has been forced to postpone their November 13 performance at the Red Robinson Theatre for the Michael Cuccione Foundation. We intend on rescheduling the date for early Spring on the heels of the release of our new album, due out next year. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause the fans and we look forward to being back with a new album and tour in 2011. For refund info, please contact points of purchase.

STATE OF SHOCK PLAYS NEW YORK,PAPA ROACH, STAIND, SEETHER & FLAVA FLAV ???
10.9.08This tour has been amazing, we've been playing with great bands, and we've met some very cool people. We played our first show for our label, Universal Republic in New York and it was one helluva party night! After the show we headed uptown for a late night dinner with bottles of wine on each arm. Top that off with a drunken mess of bull riding afterwards, and you've got an evening at the circus with bruised thighs. Then a trip to the Times Square Mcdonalds eating fries with Flava Flav ! No bullshit, and no pun intended, there were bulls, and Flava Flav! Needless to say, the night ended early...the next day! We'd like to thank Larry Flynt for playing a huge part in the evening!! Next day we had our first interview with Sirius Radio! We owe a lot to them for being the first to spin "Money Honey" in the States. Such a great station and nice bunch of people! It was a pleasure to visit and say hi! Next time we're going to bring our guitars and play a few songs!! We will also make sure to go to bed the night before...maybe. Doubt it, ha yeah right! Jumping back to the day before, right before walking on stage for our first ever New York gig, we were told we'd be opening for Staind and Papa Roach the next day! In-f**kin-credible !! We've been fortunate enough to play with Staind previously and were stoked to have the opportunity to play with them again and Papa Roach as well!! Jacoby is an amazing front man with mad chops !! I couldn't help but take down some notes during their set...always a student! Great bands! Plus we got to play another show with Seether who have been awesome the entire tour. We have learned a lot and had just about as much to drink! We've partied with some of our favorite bands, and played alotta kick ass rock shows for the best crowds !! We cant wait to throw up our new tour dates and come back everywhere we've been! Stay tuned for more news from the band regarding new tour dates, ....the US.... release and so much more !!
